Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate kitchen staff during daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory management.
- Train and mentor new employees on kitchen procedures and company policies.
- Support scheduling and task delegation to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Respond to customer and client requests in a professional manner.
- Assist management with operational improvements and cost-control initiatives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Food Handler Certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
