We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cafeteria Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our all-you-can-eat dining venue. The successful candidate will lead front-of-house staff, ensure exceptional customer service, maintain food quality standards, and support efficient restaurant operations during afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Supervise nightly Caferteria operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor dining room, buffet stations, and service areas to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with opening, shift change, and closing procedures.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and coach front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Coordinate staff assignments and monitor performance throughout shifts.
- Train new employees on service standards, company policies, and procedures.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment.
Customer Service
- Greet guests and ensure a welcoming dining experience.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and take corrective action when necessary.
- Support team members during peak service periods.
Food & Quality Control
- Ensure buffet stations are properly stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control standards.
- Communicate with kitchen staff regarding replenishment and guest feedback.
- Assist in reducing food waste while maintaining excellent product availability.
Administrative Duties
- Support scheduling, attendance tracking, and labor management.
- Complete shift reports and communicate operational updates to management.
- Assist with inventory checks and supply ordering when required.
- Handle cash management and point-of-sale procedures as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant, buffet, hospitality, or food service environment preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Schedule Requirements
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
