Now, if you were to come on board as a District Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Lead the coordination and execution of district priorities to ensure consistency and operational excellence across all units.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to enhance the customer experience and support growth opportunities (renewals, expansions, openings, renovations, and transitions).
- Take responsibility for the district’s financial performance through rigorous operational oversight, including budgeting, forecasting support, period-end reviews, and performance analysis to drive sustainable results.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements; conduct site visits and implement action plans to optimize productivity, cost control, food quality, and service.
- Support contract discussions and renewals in collaboration with the RDO and internal partners, contributing to client retention and local growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop Operations Managers and unit leaders; set clear expectations, provide feedback, and recognize performance.
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and inclusion; support succession planning and consistent application of Compass Group policies.
- Collaborate in talent acquisition and support effective onboarding to ensure the success and performance of new hires.
- Promote a strong safety culture by monitoring performance, conducting site visits and audits, and promptly closing corrective actions.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with food safety, hygiene, and facility maintenance standards; escalate risks and contribute to effective incident management.
- Maintain a regular presence in units to assess standards, coach teams, resolve issues, and celebrate successes, ensuring a consistent customer and associate experience and continuous operational follow-up.

- 5 to 8 years of experience in operations management and team leadership in a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required.
- Previous experience in food service management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and customers.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and supervisory abilities.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Strong financial management experience.
- Ability to stay current on innovative trends in food services.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to travel between sites as required.
