The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Now, if you were to come on board as our Regional Chef, Airlines, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Culinary Operations & Food Quality
- Conducts day-to-day culinary operations and food production Inspections across multiple lounges and outlets.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard, following our culinary systems and Compass HSQA practices.
- Guarantees nutritional compliance, and allergen transparency in all offerings.
- Supports frequent menu changes, collaborating closely with partners culinary and operations teams.
- Leads seasonal menu development and collaborates with Envision Group compliance.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Supervises all culinary staff, including unionized team members, junior chefs, and supervisors.
- Provides mentorship and development, including 30/60/90-day reviews and annual performance assessments.
- Oversee scheduling, onboarding, and compliance with collective agreements.
- Ensures proper staffing levels, supports recruitment, and fosters a positive team culture.
- Partners with stewarding manager to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and flow in BOH environments.
- Client & Guest Experience
- Serves as the face of culinary service during meal periods—available to respond to guest feedback and client queries.
- Maintains a visible presence in the lounges to ensure satisfaction and proactively addresses concerns.
- Participates in weekly meetings with client stakeholders and Compass management to ensure alignment.
- Safety, Compliance & Financial Accountability
- Ensures strict adherence to HACCP, Compass HSQA, and partner brand standards.
- Completes and submits required safety audits, compliance checklists, and documentation.
- Technology, Reporting & Forecasting
- Utilizes platforms such as MenuWorks, Meez, Origami, compliance, and reporting.
- Maintains organized record-keeping for temperature logs, production reports, and health & safety documentation.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in varied environments (e.g., walk-ins, kitchens, dish rooms).

English proficiency required (written and spoken).

French or a second language is considered a strong asset

Red Seal Certification preferred

Minimum 5 years in an Executive Chef or high-level Sous Chef role in a similar premium food service environment

Experience with high-volume, multi-outlet or lounge operations an asset

Experience working with unionized teams and collective agreements preferred

Safe Food Handling Certificate (Advanced)

HACCP & WHMIS

SmartServe certification is an asset

Must be bondable and pass airport security clearance to obtain RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card)

Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
