The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. The Manager, Talent Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise learning and capability-building programs that support Compass Group Canada’s business strategy, culture, and growth objectives. This role leads the execution of onboarding, functional learning, leader development, and enterprise talent & learning initiatives while ensuring a consistent and engaging leader development experience.
Working closely with business leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management, the role helps build organizational capability, accelerate readiness, and strengthen leader performance across all levels of the organization.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Manager, Talent Development, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Design and implementation of manager and leadership development programs.

Coordinate leadership academies, coaching initiatives, and capability-building experiences.
- Lead and evolve the organization’s mentorship program strategy, framework, and participant experience.
- Partner with Talent Management and HRBP’s to translate talent review and succession insights into development solutions.
- Support high-potential and future leader development programs.
- Ensure Learning & Talent programs are scalable, practical, and aligned to operational realities.
- Leverage global Compass learning content while tailoring solutions for the Canadian business.
- Own and continuously improve enterprise onboarding programs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to create a seamless candidate-to-employee transition.
- Oversee relationships with external learning providers, facilitators, and consultants.
- Evaluate new learning technologies and solutions to improve learner experience.
- Build strong partnerships with business leaders to increase learning adoption and impact.
- Support strategic Talent COE initiatives and enterprise change programs.
- Establish learning metrics, reporting, and success measures.
- Maintain governance, standards, and consistency across learning activities.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development, or Talent Management.
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise-wide learning programs.
- Experience managing vendors and learning technology platforms.
- Experience supporting multi-site or field-based operations preferred.
- Preferred knowledge & skills:
- Learning strategy and curriculum design.
- Adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Facilitation and presentation skills.
- Project and program management.
- Stakeholder management and consulting skills.
- Learning technology and LMS administration.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing capabilities.
