Location: NLHS Central Laundry Facility located at 40 East White Hills Road, St. John’s, NL
The Production Supervisor will work closely with the Operations Manager and staff to ensure operations and production are running smoothly and efficiently. The Production Supervisor will provide direction, assess, implement, monitor, and continually progress training, education, quality assurance, and health and safety tools for all laundry services staff.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Production Supervisors, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Provides continuous supervision of finishing floor activities, monitors activities in soil sort and trucking.
- Coordinates and verifies physical counts.
- Monitors and inspects for quality products, reacts promptly to unacceptable quality issues with corrective action.
- Records and interprets production standards.
- Provides recommendations and may participate in disciplinary matters of workforce.
- Provides timely and professional contact with external clients.
- Promotes and ensures a safe work environment, takes immediate steps to rectify unsafe situations. Reports and documents safety violations and accidents.
- Provides training and orientation of new employees and facilities, continuous learning process of established employees.
- Assists with identifying and implementing process improvements throughout the plant.
- Reacts to various situations including labor shortages, equipment outages, etc.
- Provides timely and accurate written and verbal updates to management and associates.
- Participates in production meetings, management meetings and health and safety meetings as requested. Relays information to other associates as required.
- Coordinates special trucking requests as required. Releases trucks and works with drivers to facilitate special request.
- Coordinates optimal utilization of equipment and resources with management to attain production goals and fiscal responsibility.
- Insuring IPAC standards are followed and met.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and respect for clients and associates at all times.

- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Certification in Laundry and Linen management is an asset
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, analytically inclined and a team player
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet frequent deadlines
- Flexible work schedule to meet demands of the operation
This role will have 12-hour rotating shifts, including every second weekend.
