- Carefully enters all sales into the cash register to ensure that all purchases are accurately recorded.
- Makes change, processes credit card transactions; checks for counterfeit bills as per Company policy where equipment is provided, and issues receipts to customers.
- Follow standard Cashier policy
- Performs sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion.
- Interact with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner.
- Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
- Able to perform arithmetic operations involving all Canadian monetary units (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be able to differentiate between monetary units.
- Must have the ability to observe customer purchases in the cafe line and to differentiate between standard portions.
- May be required to replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
- Must be able to operate equipment such as cash registers, calculators, coolers, coffee makers, coffee grinders and drink machines.
- Must interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, and company inventory and cash control procedures.
- Must follow all health and safety and quality assurance company policy
- Must complete 24/7 training with in one month of employment
- Must follow company Cashier Policy
- Must follow Tim Hortons Standards
