Oversee the day-to-day operation of the cafeteria and catering program.
- Supervise, support, and motivate a team of approximately 5 cafeteria staff members.
- Ensure food is prepared, served, and presented according to company standards.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students, staff, and catering clients.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and food safety standards.
- Run an efficient and successful catering program while balancing the daily demands of the cafeteria and catering services.
- Efficiently manage and coordinate catering orders from preparation through to service, ensuring orders are accurate, on time, and meet customer expectations.
- Complete daily cash handling and ensure accurate cash procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory and place orders as required.
- Maintain appropriate food and labour costs and work within budget.
- Ensure the cafeteria, kitchen, equipment, and storage areas are clean, organized, and maintained.
- Follow all company, health and safety, and Board policies and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling and staff coverage as needed.
- Lead by example and remain hands-on during busy cafeteria and catering periods.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Address day-to-day operational issues and communicate concerns to the Operations Manager.
- Run an efficient and successful catering program while balancing the daily demands of the cafeteria and supervising a team of approximately 5 staff members.
- Build positive relationships with school staff, students, catering clients, and the school community.
