Job description:
The Accounting Coordinator position is to support the Accounting Manager and Sr Accounting Coordinator in all aspects of the accounting cycle as performed at the Accounting office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Scan A/P Invoices into computer maintaining file standard and naming convention for easy retrieval
· Post invoices into Orbit, selecting proper G/L code
· Record invoices to CIMS for specific vendors
· Upload revenue to Orbit coding accordingly
· Generate Accounts Receivable Invoices to Orbit and collect payments
· Update Invoice tracking Master file ensuring discount is reconciled when applicable
· Prepare Event Master File in absence of Accounting Supervisor
· Forward original invoices to Corporate Office on biweekly basis for processing by Federal Express (copies made and retained for our records)
· Cross training as support and back up Accounting Manager and Accounting Supervisor to cover short term absences
· Other ad hock tasks as delegated by manager
Qualifications
· Must hold an Accounting Diploma or Degree
· Preferable minimum 1 year experience in an Accounting environment or similar role
· Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills
· Must be bondable, and pass an employer administered background check.
· Must be able to demonstrate moderate computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite, QuickBooks, and general computer literacy.
· Particularly proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
