POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Gather Supervisor is responsible for achieving revenue targets for Gather and The Leaf Coffee Bar as well as operational standards and efficiency related to running the restaurant and coffee bar. This includes all aspects of sales strategy & tactics as well as measurements and overall restaurant management, including maintaining a profitable restaurant operation and achieving budgeted margins. This position will work with the Gather GM to execute the strategic plan for the restaurant while ensuring guests of Gather enjoy outstanding customer experiences through service excellence. The Supervisor will lead an incredible and thoughtful service team that creates memorable experiences by focusing on attention to detail and utilizing unique guest activation and engagement approaches. The Supervisor will provide warm, and caring service, and exhibit deep “ownership” of the restaurant and its unique mission. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Restaurant Operations · Oversee all restaurant operations ensuring healthy and safe work practices. · Enhance the guest experience and resolve escalated customer complaints. · Open and close the restaurant ensuring all doors and windows are secure. · Manage cash reconciliation and tip out procedures and pay-outs. · Respond in a timely manner to hourly sales fluctuations and act accordingly to maximize labour dollars. · Manage and provide support to the goodwill ambassador volunteers on site. · Delegate duties as required to staff. |

Management of Staff and Guests · Supervise day-to-day activities of the restaurant and coffee bar. · Train and supervise FOH and BOH personnel to ensure all work is completed on time and up to Park Hospitality standards. · Staff at Gather will need to continue this tradition of excellent service and exceed expectations to ensure that the core values of the Park Hospitaly are conveyed at Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar. · Ensure staff are professionally trained, empowered, and have the necessary tools and equipment to fulfil duties. · Assist in performance review evaluations including identification of high potential and high performing employees for development/ succession planning. · Provide warm, and caring service, and exhibit deep “ownership” of the concept and its unique mission. · Handle client complaints when escalated beyond staff level. · Work together as a team and foster a collaborative atmosphere during negotiations to reach an agreeable solution. · Resolve staff and guest issues and complaints quickly ensuring a win-win solution is found. · Involve people appropriately in decisions that may impact them. |

Budgets & Cost Controls · Make decisions, set priorities, and choose goals based on risks and rewards. · Adjust schedules to manage labour where necessary · Accountable for inventory processes, accuracy & reporting on same. |

Health & safety · Adheres to all LGCA and MB Health regulations. · Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the restaurant areas including refrigerators and storerooms and that food products are rotated to ensure high standards of freshness. · Ensure work area is clean, tidy, and stocked. · Ensure maintenance requests, incident reports and incident investigations are completed. · Oversee deliveries to ensure the products have been delivered, stored, and secured according to the standards set by the Executive Chef and provincial health regulations. |

Administration · Respond in a positive and timely manner to all internal and external guest requests and complaints. · Ensure invoices are checked and filed correctly. · Responsible for timely reconciliation & submission of all daily cash outs for all outlets. · Communicate any maintenance issues for equipment throughout all restaurant areas to the GM. · Ensure all administrative forms are completed and submitted in a timely manner to all employees, including performance reviews, daily timesheets, vacation request forms, and overtime approvals. · Book and invoice parties/events. · Input payroll information in payroll software. |

Strategic Planning · Assist with menu planning in conjunction with the Gather Chef. · Continue to seek out new revenue streams and create efficiencies for all existing operations. · Work with marketing to develop menu boards and signage for our venues. |

Performance Management · Participate in regular shift/staff meetings to ensure all staff and volunteers have current information on park events and the current business priorities of Park Hospitality. · Progressive discipline up to and including recommendation for termination. |
