Position Overview
Reporting to the Unit Manager(s), the Unit Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the unit and providing leadership to frontline associates. This position will oversee staffing, coaching, mentoring, training, and development of team members while ensuring exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising daily operations and ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Leading and motivating staff while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Coordinating staff assignments, breaks, and workflow throughout the shift.
- Assisting with onboarding and training of new associates and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Monitoring employee performance and providing coaching and feedback as required.
- Ensuring compliance with Compass One Healthcare policies, procedures, food safety standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Overseeing cash handling procedures, cash reconciliations, and monitoring cashier performance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintaining merchandising standards, including proper stocking, replenishment, signage, and product presentation.
- Monitoring product quality, freshness, and inventory levels.
- Assisting with inventory counts, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.
- Supporting the Unit Manager with scheduling, payroll-related tasks, audits, reporting, and administrative duties as required.
- Addressing customer concerns in a professional and timely manner and resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Ensuring all stations are clean, organized, and operating in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Providing support across multiple brands and service areas, including but not limited to Fayes Café, Tim Hortons, Subway, Pizza Pizza, and satellite retail locations.
- Acting as the Manager-on-Duty when required and making operational decisions to ensure service continuity.

Qualifications
This position requires extensive direct contact with customers in a fast-paced environment and demands a professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude. The successful applicant must demonstrate a proven commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and supporting team success.
About you:
- Previous experience as, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Manager.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Accurate cash handling and cash reconciliation experience.
- Previous experience with inventory control, ordering, and receiving is considered an asset.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business systems.
- Knowledge of food safety standards; Food Safety Training certification is an asset, and training will be provided if required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform the physical duties associated with a retail food service environment.
