The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for maintaining strong partnerships with all vendors, meet operations product needs on a timely basis and evaluate and recommend new products to enhance standards and increase profitability.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Maintains “show quality” of all areas at all times
- Understands all menus, product offerings, packaging, and pricing
- Establishes rapport with associates, management, and partners
- Employs safety, security and sanitation guidelines and practices
- Completes scheduling of team members for all events
- Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
- Achieves daily sales, assigned cost goals and budget goals
- Oversees execution of required daily reporting and completion of required department reports and compiles information at month end closing
- Reviews forecasts and schedules to meet operational needs and desired targets
- Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable Compass systems (Purchasing Systems, Point-of-sale, Timekeeping systems, etc.)
- Oversees inventory procedures for accountability and ensures inventory best practices are in place
- Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance to team and to ensure lines of communication are open between management and associates
- Interviews, hires, trains, and develops associates according to Compass guidelines

- Exceptional reading, writing, math, and computer skills required

- Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
- Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift
