How you will make an impact:
- Safely operate company vehicles while following all traffic laws and company driving requirements.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload food products, packaging, supplies, and equipment as assigned.
- Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or temperature abuse.
- Maintain required temperature control during transport and report any concerns immediately.
- Complete delivery records, temperature logs, vehicle checks, and other required documentation accurately.
- Verify products, quantities, labels, and delivery locations before leaving the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Follow proper food safety, GMP, hygiene, allergen, and cross-contamination prevention practices.
- Communicate professionally with site contacts, customers, managers, and internal team members.
- Report vehicle issues, delivery discrepancies, food safety concerns, accidents, spills, or delays immediately.
- Assist with staging, loading, receiving, storage, or general operational tasks when required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe lifting and use of required PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Work may include early mornings, variable shifts, weekends, or overtime based on business needs.
- Role involves driving, lifting, loading, unloading, standing, walking, and working in refrigerated areas.
- Required PPE, uniforms, and safety footwear must be worn as directed.
Qualifications:
- Valid DZ driver’s licence required.
- Clean driver’s abstract required.
- Background check may be required.
- Previous delivery, foodservice, warehouse, or transportation experience is an asset.
- Ability to follow delivery instructions, routes, and documentation requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a food production and refrigerated environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, temperature control, or GMP practices is an asset.
