The Trimmer is responsible for supporting the lawn and grounds maintenance team by performing trimming, edging, and detail work in areas not accessible by larger mowing equipment. This includes work around buildings, fences, curbs, tanks, walkways, signage, and other fixed structures.
The role involves operating hand‑held and powered landscaping tools such as string trimmers and edgers, completing pre‑use equipment inspections, and following established safe work procedures. The Trimmer is expected to maintain situational awareness of surroundings, including slopes, uneven ground, pedestrian traffic, equipment movement, and environmental conditions such as insects, weather, and debris.
The Trimmer assists with seasonal site activities including spring clean‑up, brush and debris removal, and transporting materials for disposal as required. The role works closely with other lawn crew members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with site standards.
