How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.
As a Laundry Aide, you will:
- Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
- Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
- Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
- Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
- Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
About you:
- Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Physically able to carry out duties of the position
