Job Summary
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Please note that artificial intelligence–based tools may be used at certain stages of the recruitment and applicant screening process.
Now, if you were to come on board as our new Financial Analyst, FP&A, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Assist in financial planning exercises, including P&L analysis, forecasting and annual budgeting
- Work with the Operations to identify/validate key business assumptions and incorporate them into planning and forecasting models
- Take part in period end close procedures and liaise with accounting team to ensure proper periodic close
- Prepare variance reports, reporting packages, business review decks for leadership on a periodic basis
- Conduct ongoing analysis and monitoring of data, report on performance metrics internally, proactively communicate progress to operational teams to ensure any metrics that are not in line with meeting or exceeding expectations are addressed and rectified for improved performance
- Identify actionable risks and opportunities within the business
- Prepare various financial models/reports as required by leadership to support business cases, to evaluate business, to assist operation in making proper decisions, etc.
- Prepare financial deal summaries for reviews with our Executive Committee
- Track capital asset requests and to ensure spend is within budget
- Participate in other ad-hoc projects as directed by reporting manager

- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment (2 days a week in office)
- Degree in Finance and Accounting required; CPA considered an asset
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting/ finance related role with some Financial Planning experience
- Experience with accounting processes including journal entries, capitalization vs. expensing, and accrual accounting
- Proficient in Excel and intermediate level functionalities (X/V-lookups, pivot tables, SUMIFS, IF statements, etc.)
- **Must pass excel test during interview process
- Solid understanding of finance-related matters and management of performance metrics and reporting
- Effective and engaging communicator with the ability to articulate financials in a clear and concise manner
- Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously
- Strong business acumen & professionalism
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet frequent deadlines
- Positive attitude with the willingness to accept flexibility in assignments and the desire to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel
