Job Summary
Prepares, presents and serves meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Buffet Maintenance: Ensuring that the buffet area is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep the area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards
- Menu Knowledge: Demonstrate complete understanding or menu items. Promptly address complaints or issues, relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor
- Stock Management: Ensuring the availability of snacks and beverages in various designated areas, maintaining cleanliness and organization of stock spaces
- Operational Support: Assisting with opening and closing duties as directed. Providing logistical support for day-to-day operations, events, cleaning, and troubleshooting guest inquiries
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Demonstrating a passion for hands-on work, actively seeking solutions to challenges, and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment
- Inventory Management: Working with the unit leader, participating in ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory for our spaces, while contributing to monthly inventory processes
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using Google Suite, ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, and knowledge of Project Management software or equivalent experience

- FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
- Familiar with the use of a cash register is an asset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage heavy workload.
- Ability to work both independently and in team setting as required.
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is considered an asset.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
