Important Information: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Chef de Partie position.
The Chef De Partie is a senior member of the kitchen team and is responsible to produce high-quality plates for guests and ensure that the kitchen is in good, clean, and hygienic condition. This position will be responsible to assist in the supervision of all kitchen line and prep cooks including training and developing BOH employees. The Chef de Partie supports the Sous Chefs to manage the line and ensure kitchen staff follow all health and safety regulations by ensuring adherence to sanitary and safe food handling guidelines set by Manitoba Health regulations, at all times.
The Chef De Partie will collaborate with the Head Chef to determine menus, necessary ingredients, ordering, inventory, and staff schedules. The Chef De Partie will provide input in establishing priorities, organizing workflow, and delivering high quality culinary experience for guests. This position is also responsible to maintain product consistency by conducting inspections of seasonings, portion, and appearance of food, expedite in the kitchen as business demands. The Chef de Partie will actively participate in APC’s environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.

Job Summary
Prepares food in accordance with applicable corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
- Prepare "mise en place" (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and other products as required for high volume production.
- Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
- Food Safety Certification required.
