Job Summary
The Sr. Accountant, Fixed Assets will liaise with operations and external suppliers on a daily basis and deliver results according to deadlines. They will be a motivated and results oriented individual.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Sr. Accountant, Fixed Assets, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Take part in period end close procedures and liaise with accounting team to ensure proper periodic close
- Conduct ongoing analysis and monitoring of data, report on performance metrics internally
- Track capital asset requests and process assets related to purchases
- Participate in other ad-hoc projects as directed by reporting manager
- Prepare balance sheet analysis
- Support with USD Draft requests and ensuring that the drafts are correctly processed and paid out in a timely manner
- Ensuring that the capital expenses are accounted for correctly as per Compass Group Policies and are in compliance with GAAP requirement

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting
- Completed all modules of CPA Prep course or equivalent
- 3-5 years Financial Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment
- Exceptional analytical skills and the initiative to solve problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment, both in the office and with Operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience working with JD Edwards would be an asset
