Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Platform Services and Enterprise Architecture is responsible for providing and maintaining technology infrastructure for Canadian operational and corporate teams. They will lead a team of system administrators, collaborate with Compass Digital, Technology teams, and the Enterprise Architecture team to support Canadian needs and standardize systems. Additionally, the manager ensures secure infrastructure management and aligns team goals with both Compass Technology and Canadian business objectives, reporting to the Senior Director of Infrastructure and Operations.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Senior Manager, Platform Services and Enterprise Architecture, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Operational Management: Responsible for the stability and support of Canadian systems, including server and workstation infrastructure.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Systems Administrators, providing coaching, guidance, and setting clear goals and priorities.
- Collaboration: Work with US Enterprise Architecture and Cybersecurity teams to develop architecture standards and governance for the Canadian business.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to Canadian HTT and Systems teams, aligning activities with departmental goals.
- Business Partnership: Manage relationships with business partners and vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities.
- Service Delivery: Coordinate with Compass Technology and Digital teams to design and deliver specific IT services and solutions.
- Consultancy: Lead cross-department collaboration in problem-solving and project delivery, promoting sustainable solutions.
- Planning & Organization: Plan and monitor team activities to align with departmental goals, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
- Problem Solving: Lead efforts to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with IT teams and external partners to resolve operational problems.
- Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with stakeholders, maintaining up-to-date documentation and engaging in discussions to develop policies and standards.

- Leadership & Team Management: Over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams in an enterprise environment.
- Technical Expertise: Over 5 years of experience in designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure.
- Education: Technology-related diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications: ITIL certification is highly desired.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
