The hourly wage rate for this position is $20.95. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Supervisor Responsibilities
This job has supervisorial responsibilities, overseeing a team directly and in directly of 200+ associates.
Summary
The expectation of this position is that the employee performs their duties and responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner. Furthermore, the expectation is to perform these duties while working as a part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in assigned premium area. May vary depending on operation needs
- Ensure that the premium service area is properly set up, stocked and ready for the upcoming event prior to the event day
- Verify all signage (i.e. labels and menus) are correct and displayed at the right location prior to and during the event
- Maintain knowledge of food and beverage items, stations, and dietary restrictions in assigned area for the event
- Maintain the premium atmosphere of the service area assigned
- Ensure event staff are working in the proper area and position based on the event staff schedule
- Review any special guest’s expectation outlined in the event BEO with the staff for that area (billing information, advance orders, special instructions, client/group name)
- Assist with the job duties for all premium front of house staff roles as operationally needed during an event. This can be anything from cleaning, refilling a buffet, or working a bar.
- Train and Assist staff on the POS, ensuring staff are operating and processing orders on the POS correctly
- Ensure that staff is on task, quality assurance standards are being met, and the operation is clean and organized
- Ensure that all premium food and beverage station are fully stocked at all times
- Inspect suites, bars, food stations, and pantry areas to ensure that health and safety standards and regulations are adhered to at all times
- Assist guests with any questions or concerns about the food and beverage offered during the event
- Provide friendly and efficient service to staff and guests.
- Receive additional food orders from staff and communicate with culinary team
- Managing, counting, and verifying premium area inventory prior to, during and after an event
- Create product order list based on par numbers for each area for each type of event
- Ensure all closing procedures are completed correctly and the premium service area is ready for the next event
- Maintain health and safety standards in work areas.
- Verified that all bills have been closed at the end of each event
- Uphold all policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with company and client expectations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complete Health and Safety checks and duties as assigned

- Helps fellow team members whenever necessary
- Always on time and ready to perform required duties
Physical Demands/ Work Environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
- Frequent periods of standing and walking
- Outdoor venue subject to changing environmental conditions.
- Frequent use of stairs.
- Size of Stadium tends to involve higher physical demands on event days.
- Sensory Attention: this environment is a noisy loud environment on event days.
Language Skills
- English is the working language at this job location. Candidate must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
- French is not mandatory but considered an asset.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ previous high volume dining or hospitality experience required
- Proven supervisory skills and experience, capable of motivating and leading a team
- Creative ability to apply to the catering presentation of the food service operation
- Must have completed high school or equivalent. Relevant work experience will be considered an asset.
- Must be bondable, and pass an employer administered background check.
- Must be able to demonstrate mathematical skills
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess a valid Smart Serve Certificate
- Advanced Food Safety Certification considered an asset
