Job Summary
The Events & Catering Specialist will manage event inquiries, lead the planning of private dining room bookings, and organize small and medium scale events on our “Premium Dining” floor. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in service delivery, ensuring seamless and memorable guest experiences!
Now, if you were to come on board as our Events & Catering Specialist, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Manage event inquiries, ensuring accurate details for private dining, chef table bookings, and small events.
- Oversee event coordination, directing teams and vendors to execute agendas and handle last-minute changes.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Events team to support hospitality, amenities, and event recommendations.
- Coordinate food and beverage services, working with the culinary team, processing invoices, and suggesting improvements.
- Lead weekly meetings with Premium Dining and Culinary teams to review events.
- Assist employees with access passes, room bookings, and last-minute onsite requests.
- Handle administrative tasks including credit card reconciliations, purchase orders, and financial processing.
- Support inventory management, site equipment maintenance, and operational resource organization.
- Strive for continuous improvement to streamline processes and ensure quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Events & Catering.
Think you have what it takes to be our Events & Catering Specialist? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role:
- Proven experience managing corporate events across venues and virtual platforms, collaborating with production, technical, and multimedia teams.
- 3+ years in customer service within hospitality, supporting event and meeting operations.
- Strong ability to maintain accurate administrative and operational systems.
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, demonstrating self-starting initiative.
- Skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other MS Office tools; quick to learn CRM systems and virtual event platforms.
- Experienced in tracking expenses and reconciling receipts.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with equipment setup/teardown.
- SmartServe, Food Handling Certification, and knowledge of hospitality best practices; First Aid/CPR-C certification or willingness to obtain.
- Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings for events.
